Hey all.
I orderd a new reg for the bike. Its the updated finned version that suits just about every honda made.

I fitted it. Bike was hard to start. It was sitting for about 3 weeks though. Got it started after a couple minutes however.
I got about 2 km up the road, and it drops onto 1 cylinder. I rode it home on one cylinder (thinking gee an NSR125 would be dull)
Check the exh. Both are putting out the same air, but only one is warm. Its the front cylinder thats out.
Pull the plug, its oily. Clean it, put back in. Start it. Still only 1 cly firing.
Tried an old plug, still no good.
Pulled the coil out, cleaned contacts, put back in, tested both plugs for spark, AND THEY BOTH SPARKED !! The spark was even jumping from the thread to the earth point (which was a fairing mount)

So i put it back in the bike, start it, and still only 1 cly !!!!!! Go for a ride and that cylinder cut in for a couple sec, then out again and stayed out.
Could this have anything to do with the new reg ? I didn't think the reg could effect each cylinder independantly. The rest of the running seems ok. It starts easy, and idles on 1 cly fairly comfortably.
Whats the next thing i should test ? Im going to try swapping the coils and see if the top cyl dies and the bottom one fires.
