The NSR250 engine series is designated MC16E, and all the cases except the HRC ones are stamped with this prefix. If you want someone to identify it for you, post a couple of pictures or links to pictures hosted online somewhere. If your bike is a 1989 model then it will be an MC18 R5K, or R6K if it's an SP.
