Differences between mc18 and mc21 front wheels?

2Smoke » Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:59 pm

I'm trying to get the front end all lined up, but am having issues with the front wheel (mc18 magtek) where the wheel is off to one side, its a bit hard to see but these pics show what I'm on about:

Between the rotor button and fork leg there is about 4mm gap

and on the right hand side

about half a mm gap

Whereas the wet wheel, which is an mc21 rim is pretty much central with around 2mm of gap between the disk button and fork leg.

On the magtek there is 15mm(r/h) and 4mm(l/h) distance from the bearing face to the disk outer face, and 13mm (r/h) and 6mm (l/h) on the mc21 wheel.

So are the spacers between the two models different sizes or is there something more sinister going on? The dust seals dont seem to fit right and all bearings are sat in their correct seats.

Any help would be great..

Paul
