New engines sure would be nice!

Couple years ago I bought an SL70 with a tired engine. The bike was in ok shape and could have been restored but I wanted a rider. It's kickstart shaft was partially broken so I checked into a new shaft and associated parts to fix. The combined cost was more than a brand new Chinese copy engine with (supposedly) 125cc's!!! I bought the "Lifan" engine on Ebay and it arrived with kickstart arm, shift lever, carb neck, carb, mini harness, and even oil in the crankcase! There were no instructions but I managed to get it wired to run. The engine is a BEAST and runs circles around my dad's XL70. It either does have a much larger displacement or better carb/cam/jetting/???something??? because it's a blast to ride.

Now, why couldn't we get Lifan to copy the NSR engine? Or at least the barrels so we have spares!
