You could do a lot worse in the US than have Redline ship you some decent oil! I think they stock Castrol TTS and Motul fully synthetics. I doubt you're going to go through it that fast, but even if you do, it's nothing to them to ship you a gallon of the stuff.

Always use good, fully synthetic oil with a proven record. People recommend stuff for a reason! I doubt very much there's anything "wrong" with GN2, but it's not a name that readily rolls off the tongue for an NSR in any country I know of!

Remember, that sticker on the NSR is probably getting on for 20 years old... oils have moved on a long way since then!
