The MC16 HRC pipes are lovely, aren't they! I just love the way they snake around each other. The MC16 HRC stuff certainly seems to be in far better condition than the later stuff you see... maybe because the MC18's and MC21's were around a lot longer, and the parts are more interchangeable?
What's amazing is that according to the book, the MC16 F-III (in "standard" bolted together format - i.e. before specific tuning) is rated at 68hp! That must have been some machine in 1987 when you think about what its competition was!
The only parts I'm missing from the HRC parts book for mine are the wheels. I saw a set once, bolted on to a full F-III MC16, but at the time my agent was reluctant to buy and strip a complete bike for me. He was doing just that by the end though, and I missed a fantastic opportunity there. They're the only set of 1987 HRC wheels I've ever seen.
Once built up it will be a 1987 equivalent of StephenRC45's 1991. I've got most of an HRC 1989 too. I think all I'm missing there is genuine HRC bodywork!
