Broadford has free pits, it's nothing more than an open corrugated metal lean-to that provides shelter from sun and rain (sometimes on the same day!). There are places to plug in tyre warmers

At PI, you have to pay $10 for the pit, but it is the same pits as what is used during the MotoGP.
