back in the day, we would take a metal file to the edges of new tires to clean off release agent used to release tire from mold. Supposedly this release agent was slippery and at first high lean angle ran the risk of sliding out. Is this still the way to do it?

yes, i'm an old guy. no i'm not real computer literate. but i did a search on tires and did not find a thread on this subject. and yes, this is the bike i always wanted but could not afford.
