I think it's one of those "who do you belive" things. I used to race with a guy who'd get a battery drill and sanding disk to his new tyres before he hit the startline.

Ironically he was such a crazy rider he's often hit the deck anyway.

Some people swear the swerving you do as you roll to the grid warms you tyres. Others say that's crap and the only way to heat them properly is max acceleration and braking a few times on the siting lap. (assuming you've used tyre warmers of course)

What do the pro's do - Moto GP etc?
