Why even risk it? Confused

Accept it's happened, and that it's a bit of a pain in the ass, but just one of those things!

Drain/replace the transmission with some NEW oil, remove the pump and press the seal back in to place, and refill the 2T tank with quality injector oil.

What happens when it comes to the time you need to replace the rings or fix a crank seal? Think "oh well, if I rev it hard enough it runs OK..." and then wait for the motor to grenade itself? I can't see any difference!
