Running open Carbs

Harold » Sat Jul 10, 2010 8:12 am

Hi to all

I'm running open carbs at the moment and would like to run some sort
of air box. I have done lots of tests with different air intakes like K&N,
a cut open air box lid, just the bottom peace of the standard air box with
no filter and my bike just doesn't want to know anything but the open carbs.
If I put anything on the carbs it feels like it is restricting the power. In a
case like this should one go smaller in mains or what can be done?

My main problem is that my carbs are making everything wet with oil including
my back shock. I love my clean bike and checking for any oil leaks but with
the carbs messing like that it doesn't help me a lot.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Kind regards, Harold
