LOL, I wouldn't by any stretch of the imagination consider myself to be hardcore! I had a ride on a mates 125 and the thing that struck me was that it was about as wide and as light a bicycle, I liked that. I was just trying to strip all the unnecessary parts of my bike to the bare essentials and that included putting a smaller tank on. I didn't think it would be all that difficult, and it would allow me to get the other tank panel beaten so I can look at knocking up a stock set (read unrashed) of fairings.

Just thinking out loud that’s all.

I'm about to strip down my bike and look to prepping it so I can take it out on the track regularly, rather than looking at it parked up in my garage, so look out for a restoration / race prep thread for progress.
