Agreed,
as most thieves are lazy and wouldn't know the 28 was without a lock they would target the older/dated bike with the earlier, rudimentary security lock mech....
Also, most stolen bikes are broken down for parts and as the 21 is more common along with being older/dated they would be more likely to easily move the parts....
so, good point, rather than buy an expensive alarm for my modern and desirable 28 I'll buy one of a hundred doggy old 21's that are commonly available to divert attention.
