riding with choke on, does it rev?

NSR-LOVER » Wed Aug 25, 2010 9:49 am

I am jetting the thing after the removal of power jets.

It was very simple no need to iron solder them just found 2 small screws that bolted inside where the power jets were and their head sealed the hole like the alloy screws.

started with hrc recommendations(only main jets) to be safe and not much of a setup only modded airbox , wiresplice, premix, shined cases/ports.

1st gear cauphing near 9-10rpm 2nd gear fine but not much of a kick...

So i went down a little then 1st the same maybe a little better than before but 2nd and 3rd gear were reving fine not perfect but ok.

Then i pull the choke on just to see what happens and all 3 gears revved ok!

I thought that it is impossible to get lean so i closed it and continue testing! after 2-3 cauphs 1st gear eventually revved like the other 2.

Is this normall behaviour? to rev first gears with choke on?
