Our MOT certificate is probably akin to your Roadworthy certificate. It's a yearly test (effectively an engineer's report) that confirms it's good to go! As Fontyyy says, if it doesn't already have a V5 registration document the VIN is entered onto the form instead of the license number -- no database checking for unregisterable vehicles here!
The only issue with a race bike is finding a sympathetic tester that will pass the noise level from the open carbs. It's not usually a problem though!
I know there are a few street-registered RS's in the UK, but there's hundreds of CR's, RM's, CRF's, XR's, etc.
