Crosshatching the cylinder on a 2-T ?

pbekkerh » Fri Sep 24, 2010 7:21 pm

On a diesel forum I read about a guy whose bike was smoking and he found out that it was a very bad crosshatching job that caused it.

Is the crosshatching as important on a two-stroke ?

Should you crosshatch it every time you have it opened ?

Should the hatching be in a 45degree angle as described below or another angle, to retain more 2-T oil on the barrel/cylinder ?
