When you change to the adjustable needles the e-clip is a lot thinner.
The brass ring on the HRC or adjustable needle holder is just a "packer" or spacer to fill the gap.
The brass ring is actually at the bottom of the holder too.
I was thinking of going the route you went by ordering the kit parts direct from a Keihin dealer. I was lucky and managed to get two jet kits before they were discontinued. I've kept all the bags with the part no.s on.
It's good info' for the forum that you are able to source these parts. Should stop a lot of people getting ripped off.
I was also going to look at fitting a packing washer to the standard needle holders, as this will be the only stumbling block to ordering up a kit direct from Keihin. Shouldn't be too difficult to make up something.
Looks like that's already been done by Gazza, he's copied the HRC X and Y pieces too. If I remember right, you can just drill out the standard NSR X and Y pieces?
So all the pieces are in place to make up the HRC jet kit for anyone wanting one.
Perhaps we need to make up a list of the part no.s to order?
What are your thoughts on this Andy?
Something just for the members section only?
True, That a good idea..count me in boys...
I would be interested in the no.s for the earlier avgas needles myself.
