A new OEM crank and the primary gear could be balanced from the factory, so it is advised to align the white dots.

The clutch basket in the photo on the Engine Rebuild: page 2 has been inverted so you can see the mark, but on reflection there wasn't any need to do this. It's the only photo I have though, so it's stayed put!
