$7500 is still 4 grand and mint of not it's not here nor is it guaranteed for a year.

I'm not that bothered about "restoring it" as such, obviously king for resale value is for it to be original again but most mods can be undone (check my RVF link) and the fact that it has been sprayed at all must devalue it a bit in respect of it being original, no matter how good the job is (or isn't).

And of course I'd modify it for my own use, pipes, cans, and some NICE rearsets as opposed to the $5 items on it and the wire splice and HRC card when it's out of guarantee I guess would be the obvious route, some other bodywork may give me some piece of mind on the track too.

I can't believe all the negative talk, does anyone really think this is such a vast amount of money? I've got several friends with mountain bikes they throw down the Alps that cost more.........
