Welcome to the Forum "ride or die" and "almond151"!

How does the bike start and ride with a fully charged battery? What are the exact symptoms? Does the motor start to misfire after riding for a while or do the lights just get dimmer? Does it become hard to start after a long ride unless you recharge the battery?

First thing to do is check the battery. Make sure it is in excellent condition and fully charged. Take a reading from it with a voltmeter. It should show over 12V freshly charged, or you are fighting a losing battle straight away!

Next check how the charging system is performing. Start the motor and put a voltmeter across the battery terminals. Blip the throttle and you should see a fairly consistent reading of around 13.8-14.2 volts. If the reading is constantly lower than this, you have a problem somewhere.

Let us know how you get on.
