Well, one of the problems with fork springs is that they're particular to the things I mentioned above (weight, riding style, what you'll do with it), so really you need an expert to do the calculations, and then temper those with his hands on experience. Even then, personal preference has a lot to do with it (I like plush feel, another mate prefers firm), so you want an operator who's happy to exchange them if they're not quite what you like, so you can try another spring rate either side of what they estimate should be ideal.NSR-LOVER wrote:Thanks mate ill give it a try when i start rebuilding my forks.

Of course once you've sorted out your ride height/sag, you'll want the valving to work with it etc etc... Have you considered finding a specialist suspension technician locally and having a yarn with them? Make sure they're a suspension tech and not just a mechanic who knows how to take them to bits and reassemble them. There's probably a specialist who sorts out most of the local racing crowd, so they might be worth an ask (or just look at the stickers on their bikes, see if there's a common suspension tuner amongst them).
