The guys are correct... Many people tend to do that because they think that they will seal the engine better... But all they do is making it worse... another thing that I have seen many times is applying to many sealant to the surface that needs to be sealed and blocking the oil routes/grooves... As Gallant say you need a small amount of sealant... Don't over do it...
