I had BR9ES in my MC-18 for years and never had a problem. I raced my bike on those plugs. The reason I ran them was I didn't know any better.
The bike had them in it when I got it. I still have the same top end on the mc-18. I have switched to the BR9ECM because they clear the bodywork better.
