Sounds like the stator has gone wrong, some coils must have gone out of the circuit.

There is a fitment coming out of the stator on the LH side of your bike that has 5 wires on it.
You will find that there are three cables with identical color (most probably "yellow").
Check that they are all shorted together or else you will have to replace or repair the stator.
