Winter is approaching!

joeking78 » Wed Aug 31, 2011 1:51 pm

Approaching winter in Dubai now, end of September/mid October and it will be cool enough to ride to work again. It's still 40c here today but have been putting the MC28 back together ready for the winter and may even take it out for a ride early tomorrow morning before the sun comes up.

I've fitted the new carbs I picked up a few months back complete with TPS and happy that RC valves operate perfectly now, no ERR codes. For the last few months I've had this niggling feeling that upon putting it back together there would be a load of problems but luckily nothing.

Can anyone advise on pre start up checks after a long idle period? The bike has been idle for approx 4 months now. As mentioned above the carbs are new, the uprated jets from the previous carbs have been cleaned...any other checks?

Very excited about riding again!!
