I often wonder if doing a little investigating could help...

Did the bike need anything replaced urgently? Something specific to the NSR? I.e a strange sized tyre that would be hard to find except for one little local shop which could be contacted and asked to keep a look out for someone ordering said tyre. Or perhaps a keycard which would need to be reprogrammed by somebody on these forums.... the Dubai address would give it away.

If it's going for parts, keeping a watch out on the online auction sites for parts coming from your part of the world and doing some investigating. I doubt they'd be able to offload them any other way as it'd be a rare bike in those parts (or in most parts).
