When I read your email I thought it was the 28 with the new box on it
Definetely been watched and I would say for the next two weeks be extra vigilant or vigilanty - trust me.
I had a part stolen from my bike using the right tools so it was known what they needed. A week later I caught a bike gang trying to photo them all for "steal to order " - these scum bang the bongo drums and soon they all know what's up for grabs. An encounter with the local bike gang with my baseball bat , telling them I intend to execute the next person I see at my bikes and extra security have now worked - no more troubles.
Police here are also good but they do their job after the crime , only one person is going to protect your stuff - you
I recommend that's what you do by any means necessary
Gangs usually target an area over a 3 month period after that their chances of being caught dramatically rise so they move on plus police attention is now focused on an area they are no longer operating in. Don't be shy to main the fuggers if you do have a chance meeting - I ain't
MM!
At least I still have the 28 Will get the HRC CDI on there this week and a new battery (shared it with the 21, so that's gone!).
I think it may have just been by chance they saw it and took it. I decided to park the bike in a different spot after my ride on Friday morning. The normal parking spot was between my vbilla wall and the outside wall of the compound but where I parked i on Friday was a larger open space that is visible from all the other surrounding villas and also visible from a raised pedestrian walking area...if passers by were nosy they could peek over the wall easily...the other parking spot was completely secluded.
I've just mailed every motorcycle service center and worksop in Dubai with a picture of the bike so hopefully if they bring it in for a service or repair I'll be notified immediately.
One of the guys who owns a workshop here was notified when another bike was stolen. The thieves brought the bike in to his place to replace the clutch they had burnt out ragging it round town, he asked them to come back the next day to pick it after repair and when they did the cops were waiting for them.
I've got a good feeling I'll get it back now. I mailed everyone in my office (about 30 staff) with a picture of the bike and they have in turn mailed their friends/partners who will tell the people in their offices.
There is a well known spot just 5 minutes from my house where boy racers meet up after dark...I'll be heading down there tonight to keep an eye out and will hopefully find it or at least someone who has seen it.
