You are right, Stephen, and that's something known by every NSR owner. I only made the comment because you should have seen the face of my friend. This is NSR world!

Andy, I know, but I use the bike 99% on the street. I've been only once on the track. It is true that I have not repeated 'couse the bike was not 100% and now it is, so I plan to return soon (what a shame the UK is so far from me). But I am still considering the 5hp gain at ¿10k-11k? with the potential loss in reliability/longevity. The other reason to leave it as is, is that I am no real mechanic. It seems that everything I touch goes wrong, and then I need extra time to put it back in working order LOL.

As it is now, riding on open roads with the engine between 7-10 k is a real pleasure! However, I have a range of jets seating in my garage, in case the lid is to be modified. I have an idea in the back of my mind...
