Quite the opposite, I've got the extreme-rake RS250 front end conversion. This is too strange. I've got a race fairing, and I had to cut out the front a little where the plug sticks out, but it doesn't really protrude beyond the fairing. I'm going to go and take some pictures, I can't see how it can be soooo different for us!
