Gearbox oil dirty?

anonymous.shyster » Wed Nov 02, 2011 3:37 am

Hi,

As I'm fixing up my NSR I drained the gearbox oil. I put fresh yellow gearbox oil in it very recently, but it looks very dark now but not dirty. I'm wondering if blue injector oil is somehow getting in the gearbox again, though I thought I solved that problem! Normally gearbox oil shouldn't go that colour... There didn't seem to be an excessive amount of oil, which makes me think if it is leaking, it's not leaking a whole lot, just enough to discolour the gearbox oil. Any thoughts?
