There's really nothing much wrong with the R forks and shock, as long as they're in good condition.
The forks could do with some heavier oil maybe and the rear shock can be a little spongy, but for road use they're fine.
MC21 SE/SP forks are the same. They offer rebound damping adjustment, but to be honest it's typically (can't really mess it up) Honda. The adjustment doesn't do a great deal.
MC28 SE/SP forks are different. The SP forks have an internal type damper rod that controls both rebound and compression (to a small amount) on the same twiddler.
Std SE/SP rear shocks only seem to work well with the twiddlers at almost max adjustment (for me anyway).
