cylinder markings

andyo » Wed Nov 16, 2011 2:52 pm

hi, i just want to check that the markings on the cylinders and heads are correct and matching if indeed they are supposed to match.

Barrels are marked L1 on the side with "A" stamped on the rear face and then on 1 cylinder it has ONH1L100 and on the other cylinder it has 1AB1 261 and these marks are almost machine engraved.

I guess the L1 denotes SE spec and the long numbers are part numbers is that correct? so then what is the "A" for?

Heads are marked KV3L front and rear, are these correct to be run on the L1 barrel?

cheers, Andy
