These bikes are all grey imports (the very definition means it's background is grey, i.e. unknown), ones that have been here for years will have been in the hands of several owners who have maintained them themselves at a time when their value was very low so they are unlikely to have spent money keeping a history. Especially as very few dealers would have touched them and even less would have done an acceptable job.
The ones that have just arrived will (obviously) have nothing and more of them than you'd hope started off their recent life as a box of bits.

I have 2 G plate mc21's, one has had 4 previous owners, the other 7 owners. Neither came with anything other than a couple of MOTs. The 3rd has never been on the road in the UK, if I registered it then that would be the start of it's history.
