Best thing you can do is read the info in the main site about servicing and tuning, then five everything a good going over - clean the carbs and tank (take a note of the jet sizes), check the air filter, have a good look at all the rubber bits for splits, check connectors on ignition coils, replace any in-line fuel filters, fit new plugs and pour in some fresh fuel. Replace the gearbox oil and especially the two stroke oil with something you know is good.
Wouldn't hurt to drop the exhaust pipes off and have a good look into the barrels, checking for scrape marks or anything which doesn't look good.
Also make sure the power valves are free to rotate - any build up of carbon can jam them which leads to the servo drawing too much current and eventual burn out of the PGM ignition unit.
