To thermostat or not to termostat? Is this a real question?

Hi all

This may have an obvious answer to some of you, but my engine has no thermostat and I do not know what to do.

Without the thermostat, my engine will not run above 60ºC. Is this an issue? I always allow it to reach this temp before hitting the throttle hard, but someone recently wrote on this site about the NSR being a 80ºC engine, and that made me ask myself...

On the other hand, the thermostat will create some pressure drop in the system which will make it slightly less efficient. And it is a potential failure point, although being a stock part, this should not be an issue.

So, What do you guys run? With or without thermostat?

Thanks
