Road bike = Thermostat

Race bike = No thermostat

If you want to use the bike on the road without a thermostat then you are going to have to take a roll of duct tape with you to put some strips on the radiator if the bike doesnt reach operating temp.

You dont want to wack the bike under 60, this may lead to a cold seizure. Anything above 70 then you start to loose HP.

So for the NSR you are trying to have the temp at around 65 for optimum performance.
