So I have committed to the wilbers (1100 AUD) . Both Maxton and ohlins, while I could get them a few hundred cheaper at around 800 AUD + postage, I think the extra dollars are warranted for having it built for me and supported locally. If they fk up the damping range they should rectify for gratis.

As ride height wasn't available we went with making the shock 5mm longer. With careful set up and attention to geometry we should get an excellent balance of weight distribution and ground clearance.

My SE shock was too rusty and nasty to be rebuilt.
