I will be putting a strobe on it tomorrow.
I was trying to think what could cause it to have bad ignition timing. Assuming the PGM is working OK, of course.
Perhaps if the sender wires from the pickups got too close to the ignition coils/leads there could be some interference that might cause some false triggers.
But the sender wires are not close to the coils/leads, I'm thinking.
I have new resistive plug caps and have checked that the earthing points are making a good connection. I'm thinking that this should help to reduce false triggers.
Also, if I do find that the timing is out or is inconsistent, then what can be done about it? It is all fairly "set in stone" isn't it?
