The point is that every bike is different, and almost every condition is different. What works for one person, in their location, with their setup won't necessarily work for someone else. In fact, each NSR250 motor should actually be looked at as 2x 125's with a common gearbox! This is why the jet and needles/needle positions will quite often differ between cylinders.
The big issue with 2-strokes over 4-strokes is that the exhaust plays a huge part in the tune of the motor... far more significantly than the vast majority of boilers. DogFights are different to Jha, which differ from TYGAs, which differ from Ethos, which differ from stock, which differ from HRC, etc., etc., etc. The differences in the pipes in some cases can be virtually immeasurable to most people, but to the motor it can mean the difference between 1hp and seizure.
The rule of thumb on NSR-WORLD.COM has officially always been, is now, and always will be, "CHECK YOUR JETTING AFTER EVERY ENGINE-RELATED MODIFICATION". This means even after fitting new silencers, even after fitting new reeds, even after performing a wire-splice. No exceptions.
This is the main reason I do not allow jetting discussion on a publicly searchable forum. People have been known in the past to find jetting specs in searches, apply them to their own bike because it's of similar spec, and them come back bleating and accusing us of bad info! It was a very long time ago (like well over 10 years ago, before even NSR-WORLD), but once bitten, twice shy. One stock MC21SE with HARC Pro's isn't the same as another stock MC21SE with HARC Pro's!
I am confident that those who subscribe (and are therefore happy to contribute to the site) are in my opinion, far less likely to make problems for us, and respect what NSR-WORLD tries to achieve.
