Adjusting oil injection on 1988 MC18

Mike Ciebien » Mon Jun 25, 2012 3:53 am

New to NSR-World, tried to find answer in existing posts and couldn't (or didn't know how to). Forgive me if this has been answered before. I have a 1988 MC 18, Rothmans Edition. I've just had the crank redone (seals were gone), bores re-plated (parts sent to Japan). The bike is stock except for Tyga carbon cans and only has 6500kms. The front cylinder smokes much more than the rear and I seem to be heavy on oil use. I'm using the Motul synthetic oil. My last two stroke was a 1985 RZ350 I bought new and from what I remember 25 years ago, it didn't use much oil.

Can the oil injection system be adjusted for each cylinder? If so how?
