Pod Filters

RGB500 » Tue Jun 26, 2012 9:17 pm

The search option on this site and google netted no info on this, so here goes...

I've been fighting a long hard battle with Chipmonks around the house who just love the airbox on my MC21. These little industrial bastards can't seem to leave my airbox alone...we're talking a matter of days, and these things re-nest in the airbox after I remove and clean it. They don't seem attracted to any of my other bikes in the herd. I've fought this battle for months now and the last incident, they ate the filter and also the rubber boots connecting the airbox to the carbs. It must be the the two inlet holes on the airbox lid that these bastards are infatuated with.
The rubber boots don't seem to be available, so I'm waving the white flag and going to install pod filters.

Can someone please tell me which Unipod filters are best for the NSR? I'm looking at the dual layer foam filters and there are two that seem to be close to what I'd need. I read where Matt @ Tyga said to get the largest you can find, and after some measurments it looks like the 6" will fit.

I'm looking at part # UP4200ST (4" long) and part# UP6200ST (6" long) in the link below.

Anyone running the 6" filter? Yes...I know I will need to rejet the bike afterwards.

Thanks in advance!
