mc28 pgm4 cards

Tadpole » Wed Jun 27, 2012 11:52 pm

I have a query that I'm hoping the forum can shed some light. I'm looking at the pro's and con's of derestricting the MC28 and having been speaking to one of the members on here about when he had both the standard pgm card and a card that had been coded to hrc 030. He says that he didn't need to do a wire splice to make the hrc card work. He simply put the standard and hrc cards into the pgm and it knew which one was which. With the hrc card in his speedo changed but he doesn't remem. ber losing any of his warning lights etc that I'm led to understand if I bike is wire spliced. He rode the bike bike up and down the road with the hrc card just to make sure it worked etc. He too was thinking of doing the mod's to the bike but refrained and sold the pgm on with both cards instead.
So my point is.. has anyone else had a card changed to hrc spec and been able to keep the road harness and warning lights etc.. if so did it provide the same performance gain and was the expense deemed worth it?
Cheers Guys.
Regards graham.
