As far as I know (Might be wrong), even if you reprogram a road card/PGM to HRC spec your speedo will still not work and the PGM won't count the mileage covered while using the "HRC" card.

Same goes for the lights etc. You will have to splice the standard harness to keep them running with the "HRC" card.

As far as the "HRC" card is concerned the lights and speedo is not there...

I'm having similar thoughts about it as I have a track bike with HRC PGM and card but maybe want to change it back to a road going bike. My problem is the speedo and even more so the trip meter !

I think the only other option would be to use the HRC card and PGM with a spliced road harness to keep the lights etc. And then have another speedo/trip counter installed somewhere in the cockpit...
