An awkward difference is that the R7282 doesn't have a gasket like the R5300A, it has a tapered seat.
It also uses a different cap... and they're not cheap either!

Spoken to the NGK supplier again this afternoon (chasing the R5300A's!) and asked about the R7282 while I was at it. They said you need to watch the reach of the R7282... apparently most you'll find for sale are the extended reach type for use with a detonation counter, so the thread is too long!
