R2J/R4J versus R5K/R6K Carbs

Urkie » Wed Aug 01, 2012 1:18 am

Hello all.

Once again I found another potential problem Mad with my R6K rebuild, tonight whilst cleaning the carbs I noticed that they are TA20A (R2J/R4J) carbs, not the prescribed TA21A (R5K/R6K) carbs. Could those in the know please inform me if I would be able to still use these carbs on my MC21 bottom end/R6K top end motor? What are the main differences in these two models of carbs?

Thanks,

Jacques.
