In no particular order, I would like to thank the following for a superb weekend!
GT Motorcycles, for the loan of a van and allowing us to over-run their Plymouth branch/dyno yesterday!
Jeff Savage and RockOil Southwest for supporting us, giving away some freebies and technical tips, and for being an all-round nice chap!
Andy Hook and Cheaptrackdays.com for a superb, friendly and cheap event at Llandow!
The marshals at Llandow for staying on an extra 30 mins while we took a photoshoot of all the NSRs on the track at the end of the day!
StephenRC45 for working his ass off on the dyno all day, taking a 30 minute break only to strip Waynes MC18 motor, and also allowing hoardes of relatively unknowns to crash out at his house!
NSR.Wayne - winner of the "most spirited award" for being such a good sport even when his MC18 had the hiccups!
Dave Ett for taking on the role of an extra instructor as soon as he turned up, even though we found out later his bike was only making 44hp!!!
Keith Butcher, Jeff Williamson, Tom Hofton, Leigh Frost, Nigel Moss, for adding another 6 NSR250s to the assault!
Warwick and Rachel for bringing along the ever pristine NSR150SP - oh, and for introducing another convert to NSRs... I'll let you know when a nice MC21 comes up for sale!!
Martin Johnson (very impressive TDR250), Martin Froggatt (very nice KR1-S), Lee Shepherd (beautiful RGV250K Pepsi), David Reynolds (RGV250M & RS300), Nigel's mate sorry, forgot your name! (RD350LC), who all came along for dyno runs at GT Performance on Saturday.
Billy Wilson and John Stacey for coming along even though both their NSRs are currently non-functional! (Mind you, they did run 400s at the track-day!)
And a big big thank you to everyone else who made it to either or both events, who I've managed to miss out - there were so many!
In the end, we managed a total of 12 NSRs at Llandow on Friday, and ran 11 bikes on the dyno on Saturday, some of them several times to aid setting up! Most improved had to be Dave Ett's MC21, who gained 6hp with a change of just 1 (read, ONE!) main jet size! Shame on you Dave for the state of those RC Valves too! We will be keeping a close eye on you for future meetings! Expect some very critical scrutineering next time we meet up!!!
Watch this space for some photo's soon, and details of our next planned meeting!!!
