They sound a little "wheezy" as stock... they are missing about 30hp and 100cc though! The racers (RS500 and NS500) certainly didn't sound odd as a triple.

The NSR250's are the same though. The airbox and standard pipes quieten them down so much. Standard, they sound a bit asthmatic!
