Looks like just as the HRC pipes start to work, the lil' old MC16 runs out of puff! The larger MC18 carbs Jeff has yet to fit should help sort this out!

Stephen's MC18 is a flier - and very smooth with it! Not bad for a 17 year old 250!

Stephen thinks his MC21 is running on the conservative side. His graphs were for "event participation" only, so no tweaking took place. He reckons there's a few more ponies in the motor with some fine tuning!

My '21 is only just rebuilt after an "on-the-edge" jetting experience, so definitely a tad rich! A tweak on the mains should bump it over 60hp, but I'd rather keep it reliably rich! I think a tweak of the RC Valves should sort the 60hp barrier out! Still, it held together during Stephen's mad lap of wherever he imagined he was at the end of the day!!!

Hmmm... slung together after 2 years apart, specifically for the weekend, Dave's MC21 made a stunning 44hp on it's first run! Steve was very impressed; "It takes a lot of effort to make less power than stock with those [HRC] modifications!". Dave won the award for most improved... 6hp with one MJ size change!

Nigel never lets us down with his immaculate MC21SP Rossi Mugello. Not only does it look stunning, but kicks out 64hp every run too! Smoothest curve of all the bikes tested.

Lee Shepherd saw the Dyno Day advertised on www.rgv250.co.uk and popped down from N. Devon for the day. A beautiful Pepsi edition RGV250K with a very creditable 58hp

David Reynolds has quite heavily modified his RGV250M. Flowed this and ported that, modified the airbox, and adjusted the ignition timing. We should've kept quiet, as after us NSR boys had given a bit of advice, he picked up 3hp and topped the charts for the day! Oh well, he does have an NS500 that's nearly completed, so at least he's a Honda man too!

There is also a KR1-S with a very respectable 63.3hp to follow, plus Martin77's TDR250 at 48hp, an RD350LC and an Aprilia RS300, but Stephen forgot to e-mail them to me!
Once again, a huge thank you to GT Motorcycles and GT Performance for the use of their facilities for the day, and allowing a bunch of strangers with stinky 2-stokes invade the place!!!
