Just having a look at my bike (MC28 Rothmans) as there has been some "mentions" about lessor models with a Rothmans over coat posing as the real thing!

I know the exact model is NSR250R3R and about checking the paint code label on the sub frame, the dry clutch, also the blue adjusters at the top of the forks (easily changed) I'm unsure regards the frame numbers though, it says on here the NSR250R3R frame numbers are 1000001-1006013 does that mean the frame number on my bike should be any number from 1000001 up to 1006013 ??
