I find my gearbox smooth as silk, but then I also ride BMW GS, which is the complete opposite. Have you checked the oil level, and do you know what oil is in it?

Eniune mounts do have some give in the rubbers as a two stroke engine is prone to vibrate, but there shouldn't be any more than that. I've never noticed the engine feeling loose in the frame...
